Mavis just looked at Kim with an apathetic look, listening to him try his best to come up with more ways to make his story seem convincing. Finally, he asked if he fucked up, to which Mavis nodded slightly. "Yeah. You did." she said with another small sigh, beginning to pull a few things out of her fridge with more magical levitation. "As far as your powers go, I suppose the story isn't so bad. You don't even have to include the bit about messing up a spell, just tell people that you can't use your powers for reasons you can't discuss." she said, knowing that most denizens of this world would respect the complications of a wizard's reasoning. The witch suddenly paused and looked over to the refrigerator, blinking as she noticed that something didn't come out. "... Braith, did you eat the pepper I bought yesterday?" she asked with a glare. Braith just blushed a little and looked away.

"... Anyways, the problem with your story, Kim... Is that wizards are highly respected around here. If word gets out that you're a 'wizard', you'll be the most popular person in town in a matter of a couple of days. We DON'T want that." she said, pointing her finger accusingly at him. "You need to keep yourself seeming as ordinary and plain as possible, as to not draw any attention. The more you get noticed, the more likely it is that someone will get suspicious of you. As soon as the possibility of you being a human is considered, you're done." she said with a somewhat serious tone. "Does anyone else think you're a wizard?" she asked sternly, wanting to know if the young man had let anyone else know about his new fake identity.
