Hibiki leaned over to peer into the case with an expression on her face that could have been envy. It wasn't so much the badges themselves but more what they symbolized -- training, traveling, a battle won. Something she'd been missing out on until now. Having to wait for so long to be able to go out on her own journey was undeniably bittersweet but the knowledge that she was going to be with someone who knew what they were doing a little better than she did made her feel better. There were sure to be times she screwed up (and screwed up badly) so it was mildly reassuring that there'd be someone with her to give her a hand.

"Studying?" she repeated, in a voice of playful surprise and she stuck her tongue out as she spoke. "Jeez, you make it sound like it's something I've got to do for school!" Laughing, she straightened up in her seat for a moment, her feet tapping impatiently against the floor as she waited for the professor to show up. She was so eager, so impatient to begin her journey that every second she had to wait was pure torture. "But don't worry, I memorized it completely~ I had it pinned up above my bed, but I decided to take it down and bring it with me. It saves me having to buy another one, right?" Hibiki giggled and then rested her chin in the palm of her hand. "I've actually been making a lot of plans for a while now," she told him, nodding to herself as she did so. "Like my team, and what order I'll take on the gyms in. I guess that last one depends on what order I find them in though!"
