Hibiki was still panting for breath as she looked up upon hearing the door open and she looked somewhat startled to see him there. For a brief moment, she only half-recognized the young man in front of her. While they'd never lost contact with each other during Mamoru's journey around Kanto, his correspondence had been a little... vague lately, especially when it came to how he was doing on his journey, and they hadn't met face-to-face in almost five years. Mamoru was her best friend and she'd started to worry that he was getting bored of her, especially since she was stuck at home. Just another thing she'd lost out on...

As soon as she saw the grin on his face, however, her worries vanished. It was the same grin he used to have as a kid, and it made Hibiki's heart swell with joy. Her face lit up, and she scrambled to her feet, kicking grass everywhere before she flung herself into his arms for a tight hug, with a delighted cry of "Mamoru!"

Even after being declared fit to go adventuring around Kanto, the pink-haired girl was still as light as a feather. Despite this, her arms certainly seemed strong enough to hug him tightly. "I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm totally fine!" she reassured him, laughing the whole while. "I'm super fit and super healthy so don't worry about Hibiki!" She pulled back from the hug briefly to get a better look at him and grinned, before throwing her arms around him again. "Ah, you haven't changed a bit! I missed you so much!"
