Kim looked down to Braith when Morinda did, giving a small chuckle when the young witch turned away. She was probably pissed at him. Oh well, at least he was in better spirits, and had a story he could understand. He didn't know a damn thing about 'changlings' other than what Braith had told him; they don't have a scent and usually take on plain forms. He didn't know what they ate, or what habitats they lived in or any of that. He nodded at Morinda's question. He blinked when she smiled at him. She...she had a nice smile, he noticed. He also noticed that awkward silence between them, and quickly turned his head away to keep from accidentally staring.

When she began speaking again, he looked at her. He glanced up at the tree. It bore strange fruit. He started wondering if the fruit was sweet at all, but immediately discarded the thought when Morinda told him it tasted like blood. Kim nodded at her when she asked if Braith had told her that it was hard for a vampire to get a decent meal, but it took a moment after that for him to catch her meaning. He was sure he'd paled a shade when he realized it. She was asking if she could feed on him again. He tried to wrap his head around it as she stuttered. Not the time to freak out, he told himself, taking a breath. Braith was down there. He glanced down to the little witch. "Hey Braith," he called, holding a finger up towards Morinda to tell her to wait a minute. "I'm probably going to be talking with Morinda for a while. If you wanna head back to the mansion, I'll see if she can't direct me back once we're done talking," he told the small witch. He was basically telling her to scram, but in the most polite way possible. "Thanks for showing me out here."
