Morinda smiled when Kim insisted that he question wasn't dumb, but when he mentioned Braith, the vampire blinked and shifted to the side, looking toward the bottom of the hill to see where Braith was. The young witch flinched a little and suddenly turned the other way, acting as if she weren't even listening. Ever since Kim told Morinda that he was a wizard, Braith had been tuned into the conversation. "That was it?" Morinda then asked, her attention returning to Kim. He explained how he felt about being off to a bad start, and Morinda just smiled. "Gotcha. Well, thanks." she said, soon going silent.

There was a short, awkward pause between the two before Morinda stuttered a little, her cheeks turning the slightest red. "So, um... See this tree?" she asked, pointing up at the fruit that hung off of its branches. "It's called a Hemo-Fruit tree. Its fruit is popular with vampires since it's so juicy, and has tastes a bit like blood. I usually head here whenever I need a snack." she said, her tone as calm and plain as ever. Still, she was a bit embarrassed by what she was preparing to say. "But still, it's not the same. Braith told you, right? That it's hard for a vampire to be satisfied?" she asked, making sure Kim knew where she was going with this. "So, I was wondering, um... I mean, it's weird to ask, but... If you don't mind, erm... Ahh, I sound stupid..." she mumbled, not liking how difficult she was making this. She was usually straightforward with her speech, and acting like a flustered schoolgirl wasn't her style.
