Kim paled a shade when Morinda said she didn't know such a place existed, and he was suddenly thankful for the darkness of the forest. Then again, he didn't know how well vampires could see. He seemed to relax a bit when she said it made sense that he would freak out. He'd noticed Braith's expression, and it clearly said she hadn't been paying attention at all. He'd pretty much been on his own here the whole time he'd been talking. Nice.

The black haired human gave a small, relieved sigh when Morinda said they were cool. That really was a relief, though he wasn't sure why. Back home he wouldn't have given two shits about offending some random person he'd just met, especially if he'd though they'd tried to kill him. But then again, back home was a lot different from this place. There was no killing that was really justified there. No actions that constituted an unprovoked killing. Here might've been different though. "It's okay. Really. Braith told me about...well, about what vampires go through around here," he said a bit sadly, looking off to the side. "So...I understand, you know, why you did that." It was clear, or at least clear enough, that Kim felt bad about freaking out on Morinda with the knowledge he'd gained in the past few hours. A thought flitted through his mind, about offering to let her finish what she'd started before, or at least a little bit, but it was very quickly dismissed. First off, Braith was here and those sounds that Morinda had been making before...well, probably weren't fit to be heard by a child's ears. Not that he particularly cared about the small witch. And second...he wasn't sure if he would freak out or not, and he didn't want to upset the vampire girl again.
