Kim focused his attention on Braith as she spoke, trying to ignore that strong sense of foreboding that came with just about every place he went in this world. He was actually getting more and more curious about some of the creatures now, at least the ones he knew of. If vampires didn't burn up in the sun, what other legends were untrue? Braith seemed...well, rather knowledgeable about all the mons-er, people, in this world. It probably wasn't much surprise though, after all, she did live here. But then again, it wasn't like Kim knew everything of all the races back on earth either.

He was glad the little witch stuck next to him. This forest, which had looked so horrible and scary from the outside...was absolutely terrifying on the inside. He cleared his throat quietly. "Th-these trees...th-they can't...move...right?" he asked Braith, looking down at the girl next to him. Or rather, he would have, if his whole body wasn't stiff with attentiveness at his surroundings. "And there's nothing in h-here that...eats adventurers...right?" The coward of a human glanced back from where they came. The town seemed more welcoming right now. But...but he couldn't turn back and run away. Not out of any sense of duty or pride, but rather...what if he got lost?
