While Braith wasn't looking, Kim tried to take a few bites of the egg, trying to get used to the bitterness. There wasn't really much to get used to. It wasn't terrible, so he could eat it, but...well, it was definitely different from what he was used to. But given his situation, he wasn't going to complain. Kim took a drink of water just as Braith mentioned Morinda, and he nearly choked because of it. He put the glass down, coughing and trying to clear the water out of his windpipe by clearing his throat. "U-uh..." He gave another small cough, but looked off to the side. He didn't want to talk about that. He didn't know how to mention it, how to say it. Was something like what Morinda did considered normal around here? He didn't think something like that would be, but he really had no idea. Even so, she had apologized, so he had to assume it was something out of the ordinary.

Kim's blue eyes turned back to the egg that the young witch had cooked. He wasn't so sure he had an appetite anymore. "Um...yesterday was...well, I...sort of...freaked out when I found out she was a vampire, and she didn't take very, er, kindly...to it..." That was putting it very lightly. He didn't know how to tell the little witch that Morinda had started sucking his blood after re-opening that cut on his arm. The human shivered at the memory.
