Mavis smiled at Kim's gratitude. "You're welcome." she said plainly, knowing that the man was very worn out. She decided to take her leave, turning around and walking out of the room. She shut the door softly and let out a sigh, relieved that her guest was finally comfortable after such an eventful day. She looked down the hall and frowned. "Now, about this mess..." she whispered, realizing that some magic would likely be required to clean up the blood now soaked into the carpet.

Kim would awaken the next morning to the delightful smell of something cooking. It was a familiar aroma, but something he wouldn't be able to put his finger on.
